Stephen M. Cheifetz

Stephen M. Cheifetz is a partner at Cheifetz Business Law LLP in Windsor, Ontario. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982. His practice covers corporate and commercial law, tax planning and structuring, banking and finance, cross-border transactions, wills and estates, and mergers and acquisitions. He advises businesses ranging from early-stage startups and seed-round ventures to U.S. and European companies operating in Canada.

On behalf of the Government of Ontario, Stephen has presented seminars across the United States on doing business in Canada. He has lectured for the U.S. Small Business Administration on the Canada–U.S. Free Trade Agreement. He has been a lecturer in business law at the University of Windsor and has taught International Sales and Secured Transactions at the Detroit Mercy School of Law. He has served on the boards of directors of several U.S. and European companies with Canadian operations.

Stephen is President of the Windsor Jewish Federation and a member of the Windsor Essex Capital Angel Network.
